My name is Joe and I'm an addict.

I think it started with the shower. I used to have a fixed shower head (the typical ozzie, barely-adjustable type) and for the longest time, we've been using a hand held shower (the type with the hose). So the first significant change I did to our house was to replace the fixed one with a shower rail and hand held shower. Now it doesn't sound like much and it sure doesn't look like much at the end but it involved a fair bit of planning, sourcing for the right product (at that time it was all around how much we could afford) and a lot of luck in drilling through our tiles.

Most recently, it was the curtains and my pièce de résistance, the bedhead, which I officially finished last weekend with the installation of the LED reading light. Now, my hands twitch as I look for ways to improve the house even more ! Ttwo nights ago I installed extra shelves in the wardrobe, last night I installed a bike rack in the garage, and tonight I'm likely going to be installing hooks to hang our ski gear out of the way during the off-season.

Next it's the stowaway clothes line for the guest bathroom, and probably better shower shelves for our ensuite. Maybe I should be a builder instead. Apparently, they're making heaps of money these days. A general builder with just three years experience is making over 100k Well over an equivalent for a university graduate - lawyers and doctors included ! There's a new term for them too. They're called Cashed up bogans

Well, I guess I should just be happy that I'm not paying a cashed up bogan to do stuff for me around the house.

Oh. And we've been gorging on thai durians for the past few nights. The house reeks of durian now. Every food item in the fridge is permeated with odor de durian. Any suggestions on durian storage to avoid the scent going everywhere ?
