Semi-charmed kind of day

Every now and then, there's one of those days where things seem a little too karma-ish.

Today was one of those days.

I had a lunch appointment with someone I met at the airport in Singapore while in the check-in counter queue two years ago.

After we both found out we were in somewhat similar fields, we'd arranged to meet up when we arrived in Melbourne. It took us two years and countless failed attempts but we finally did it.

Anyway, while on my way to the city for lunch, I realised that I had no change to feed the parking meter. So I thought I'd try to find a carpark, then pop into a convenience store somewhere to get some change.

At the first place I looked, I found three empty car parks in a row. This was coincidence #1. If you've been around Melbourne city, it's usually pretty rare to find an available parking lot on the street, much less three.

Coincidence #2. The meter was broken ! Again, this is pretty rare as parking revenue is one of Melbourne's most noted sources of income so they tend to keep them operating pretty well.

After what turned out to be a pretty pleasant lunch, I returned to my car only to see the meter repair guy leaving. COincidence #3. Had the repair guy come any earlier, I might have been liable for a parking fine!

The rest of the day was meeting after meeting but somehow, I couldn't get over the small little blessing I received today.
