Shirley’s cousin is staying with us so we’ve been pretty busy doing the tourist thing again. He’d never been this far out of Singapore before so it was an interesting experience explaining things that we’d taken for granted over here.
Watched the first episode of Californication last night. It’s pretty trashy in some respects but some of the situations and dialogue were so politically incorrect that it’s entertaining. I reckon it’ll keep my attention for a few more episodes at least.
Started playing with my new-kia N95 today (I wrote that it was a N65 earlier. Oops). As I told my colleague, it’s a camera that also has a phone – so much so that I couldn’t get it working as a phone properly this morning. Technology 1 – Joe 0. It’s a pretty snazzy phone. Lots of features that I’ll never use but at least it’s a lot faster than my older phone. I’ll try not to fill this one up with junk.
Speaking of phones. A guy in the states tried faking his own death in order to get out of a ‘locked-in’ contract. Hilarious !
Fed up with dropped calls and a string of defective cellphones, Corey Taylor said he became irate when he learned he'd have to pay $175 to get out of his long-term contract with Verizon Wireless. So he resorted to a rather extreme measure. He faked his own death.
Hope you’re having a good day !
