The man with the unusually tiny brain has managed to live an entirely normal life as a married civil servant with two children despite his condition…
What's interesting to me is that given that we don't need a big chunk of our brain to function, and if people are brain-dead or brain-damaged, couldn't our body somehow adapt by using other parts of the brain ? Or maybe it has to be the brain telling itself to shift some of its functions to other areas.
Speaking of functioning, it looks like I'm about to start my first permanent job since coming to Melbourne. I've resisted it for some time as I've been more keen on the exposure of working with different clients but this looks like a place where I'll have different challenges to deal with, but still within the same company.
Besides, I like the idea that they're aiming to grow 8x in the next few years. Will post more about it again when the deal's actually signed.
We’re going rock climbing tomorrow. Watch out for falling rocks ! If you hear the grampians come crashing down with a loud "OOOPS" at the end - that'll be us.
