As if the white hairs and balding-ness wasn't enough, I went for an eye check with Shirley on Sunday and discovered I've developed a bit of astigmatism. I got this far with always having perfect eyesight and that last bastion of general healthiness has been breached.
Perhaps it's due to the aging signs that Shirley and I have developed a more active lifestyle recently. Apart from the golf I've been playing (walking an average of 5km each game), we've been walking and cycling to and from the mall (about 5km per trip) and attending fitness classes (which have so far served to prove that I'm very unfit)
And in a fit of purchasing madness, we bought a new camera and I bought a 2nd hand Palm TX for myself. Aside from the Palm which I bought second hand anyway, what's funny is that we managed to bargain down the camera to 20% off its list price. It's kind of weird because I've always been brought up to believe that you can't bargain prices in a 'proper' store like a department store. To the contrary, we actually went to three or four different stores and got ALL of them to offer us a lower price, then basically played them off each other. Ugly Singaporean ? I actually learnt the trick from one of my Ozzie friends who astounded me when he had the audacity to ask for a discount on a DVD player, and actually got the discount he asked for !
Old age aside, it's spring here, and time for renewal. Daphne's pregnant for those who don't already know. Heartiest congratulations to the parents to be. I can imagine Glenn talking to Harley about getting some kind of harley cot attachment already :D
