(Hummed to the tune of T’was the night before Christmas)

Tis the night ‘fore we pick up the keys to our new house
And we’re packing and sorting our stuff into piles
They haven’t connected the phone and they don’t really care
And we won’t have internet for the first two weeks there

Yup. Apparently they’re doing a ‘distribution upgrade’ whatever that means. But what it means for us is that we have no phone line and ergo, no internet. No ADSL2, no ADSL(1), no dialup.

So for the next two weeks (or more *sigh*), there’s gonna be a bit of a drought with posts.

On the bright side, all the hassle of house hunting, buying and relocating will soon be over. And soon, we’ll be busy unpacking and shaping our new home lifestyle.

I guess the excitement is muted partly because I’m waiting to hear about the start date for my next project, but also because it’s a scary thought, actually owning the house.

Shirz is watching ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ now. The TV movie version. We’ve read the book but the movie is like a simple way to refresh ourselves on the lessons learnt, although the story seems a little ‘made for TV’. I've been reading an Anthony Robbins book as well. Guess I'm on a 'self-improvement' kick. We were talking about how we always need to push ourselves and redefine what it is we're willing to settle for.

I guess that's what the house is. A new definition of how we want to live our life.
