Thought we'd found the right house last weekend, but upon closer inspection, there was a slight, but significant 'flaw' to it.
Strangely enough, unlike back home, public housing here has a negative stigma to it. Most of the houses in the suburbs are (to borrow a phrase from Chris) 'ang moh chus' and the one was saw and liked was directly opposite a small apartment complex that looked a lot like public housing.
Which also explains why the guy hasn't been able to sell it for a few months now.
Saw a few more places but nothing really stood out. So back to the hunt this week.
An interesting development in Australia-Asian cultural ties. First, the NSW opposition leader steps down over racist slurs made about the former NSW premier's malaysian-born wife, then Indonesia, sick of Ozzies smuggling drugs into Bali, starts having random drug tests on tourists.
Why can't we all just get along ? :)
