It's strange how this little island of free time came about during my otherwise usually-hectic school term.

Oh well, it's back to normalcy next week when two subjects kick in, not to mention a paper on the negotiation process of the Australia - US Free Trade Agreement.

Shirley's been pretty busy this past week, working that is. I kinda understand how housewives (or househusbands) feel like. I've been doing the cooking and washing up, some laundry, and most of the cleaning up this past week, just because I have 'free' time. Although I have been keeping busy with Council and Club stuff, somehow, the leisure time is almost unnerving. Guess I'm a productivity junkie. Sort of.

Enough of that.

Went to check out the Thievery Corporation live last friday followed by Mozart on sunday. Totally different styles of music, yet similarly surprising. Thievery was surprising because I could actually dance to the music. If you've heard their stuff before, or heard me play it, you'd know it's chill out tunes. But there I was, along with a couple of hundred people.

Mozart on the other hand, was punctuated by contemporary dancers in old medieval costumes trying to express the tunes. One of them was doing a series of disco moves.

Bizarre.

For those watching the US elections, here's an interesting column which was brought to my attention by one of my favourite comics, Doonesbury.

Here's a key summary "The publishers of The Iconoclast endorsed Bush four years ago, based on the things he promised, not on this smoke-screened agenda.
Today, we are endorsing his opponent, John Kerry, based not only on the things that Bush has delivered, but also on the vision of a return to normality that Kerry says our country needs."
