What have I done !? Me! Taking classes on thursday from 9am to 9pm !
*yikes*
So far, it's almost 5 and I still have 4 more hours to go. I can't believe I committed to spending 12 hours in school. I guess the extra time in between classes might help with my grades (as long as I don't spend it blogging like so.) But today has probably been the most productive school day so far. Already I've had a syndicate meeting, attended a workshop and done some reading.
Anyway, just doing some casual browsing before I have to go meet with a lecturer, I came across this article about Hippos sweat sunscreen. Which got me thinking back to a conversation I had with Shirley last night about anatomy.
It's funny how we (as in we, the human race) are learning so much about so many things and creatures in the world, yet we only understand such a small proportion of ourselves.
Take the human brain for example, we only understand a infinitely minute portion of our brain, and are still making slow progress in the deepest mysteries of our emotional psyche.
Perhaps this stems from internal programming which refuses to put humans at the centre of the universe. Which also explains why people embark on animal welfare and bio-diversity programs.
Or pehaps as we learn more about other creatures and our environment, we also discover clues to how we work, function and exist - like the recent discovery that scientists made about Humans and Chimps differing by just 1%.
Well, that's all folks. Gotta go for that meeting now.
