Aftermath of the Bushfire

I went on a tour not too long ago through the bushfire-ravaged region of Victoria. Some time has passed since the Feb 7 'Black Saturday' inferno, but it wasn't hard to imagine the devastation that passed through the region.

The photos below were just a small snippet..

These trees were burnt black and the ground was still caked in ash.


Pretty much anything that COULD burn, DID. The entire roof of this house was destroyed.


To give you an indication of how hot it was (apparently 1,200 °C), the glass from the windshield of this truck had melted under the intense heat.
