Did someone zoom ?

The Formula One weekend went by as quickly as a Brawn car going down the straight.

However, unlike the mega-decibel F1 cars, we barely heard a peep about the race.

In fact, I only remembered that it happened when I sat down for lunch today and read the front page of the papers.

Apparently I wasn't the only one who forgot about the F1 - There were record low attendances. Come to think of it, we had dinner in the city on sat night and the traditional alcohol-laden Ferrarians and Mclarenites were nowhere to be seen.

It's somehow poetic that even while auto-behemoth Toyota provided the bulk of the engines for the race, the global auto industry was cliff diving (Japan auto output down 56%)

In case you were wondering, we were out golfing while the race was going on. Daylight savings is about to hit, so we had to savour the last bits of lazy afternoon golf, teeing off at 4pm, putting the last hole as the sun sets.

I need a pina colada. :D
