It's not easy to see from the picture but it was wickedly windy today when we went down to Torquay to give shirley and her friend their first taste of surfing. I was nearly decapitated when the side of the surfboard tried to slice my throat and knocked the wind out of my windpipe.
I have to say surf technology has improved heaps since I last did it (7 years ago ?!). The boards were softer and easier to stand and control.
No pictures of us actually in the water because it was hard enough moving our boards with the crazy wind.
I could get used to this lifestyle :)
