Ginger at the Kepala Canine Country Club

Ginger's trip to the Kepala Canine Country Club. First off, we found the agility pen. It's like a big doggie playground where they get obstacles they have to get around, over, under or through.

It took some coaxing but ginger finally went through the tunnel of *terror*. Well. Not exactly. More like a giant hamster habitat trail for dogs. You know what, after we had to almost shove her in the first time round, she happily ran into it again and again afterwards.

It's a bird ! It's a plane ! No ! It's fur flying through the air ! Ginger has always had a natural affinity for jumping on or over things. Must be all the pent up frustration from us never letting her climb on the furniture. :D

This was the sand pen adjacent to the agility pen. The idea is just for dogs to run wild in the sand but stay dry. Of course, getting sand all tangled up in your dog's hair. Well, that's another matter.

Now to another activity area. This was one of the reasons we were here. To watch the Golden Retriever Club Members Comp. It's a dog show where they do all their show dog-type stuff. Ginger can't enter 'cos firstly, it's a puppy comp, and secondly, she's not 'intact'. It's usually a requirement for show dogs as they want to be able to breed them.

Competitors making the rounds for the show. It wasn't the full-on glamour type event. Just a small one for the Golden Retriever Club. But it was still pretty cool.

After all that activity and excitement, it was time for the highlight of the day. A dip in the deluxe doggy swimming pool. It's pretty exclusive. Only one dog per time and no humans allowed !

Paddle, paddle, stroke.
Paddle, paddle, get the ball, stroke.
This was pretty much the highlight of the day. There's a video below showing Ginger's swimming prowess.

Nice and clean after the hydrobath and the massive turbo dryer. This is the view from the country club. No one should complain about having a dog's life. :)
