The heat has been crazy this week. It's 36 again today, then all of a sudden, we get forecasts of 'large hail'.

I'm not sure if anyone's studied hot weather vs the economy but everytime it gets too hot, we go shopping (or to the movies). Just in the last week alone, we've bought a sofa, a dining set, a few custom-made pieces, a couple of toys (see earlier posts), watched Narnia, Nanny McPhee and Memoirs of a Geisha. *moth flies out of pocket*

Considering that almost none of the lead roles in 'geisha' were Japanese, they did a pretty decent job. As long as you ignore the accents and accept that the book was written by an 'ang-moh', it's a pretty good show. Speaking of entertainment, I've been pretty entertained by Entourage, the HBO show. I've just finished Season 1 and it's good ! Kind of like Sex and the City (the lead has a different girlfriend every episode) meets OC (everyone is rich and good looking) with less bitchiness and more toys for the boys (humvee, rolls royce phantom, etc)

Back in the real workd, we've sold our furniture (thanks to Shirz' brillant ebaying skills). On the bright side, we've got heaps of room now. The bad news is, we gotta wait a couple of months to get the new furniture in. So in the meantime, we've been reduced to eating meals off our tiny LACK side table. Not an ideal setting for a four course meal, but somehow quite apt for maggi mee. :)
