Was listening to a BBC World Service interview with Gordon Moore, Intel's founder.
I can't quote him exactly but the gist of his ideas went along the lines of "If you project anything long enough, it always ends in disaster"
This was in reference to population growth, densities, etc...
But it added more fuel to my current train of thought : the inevitable failure of civilisation due to the collapse of the currency system.
